Hello crafty friends,

It’s time to roll out Stampin’ Up!s Paper Pumpkin Kit for Halloween! You and I know that the Trick-or-Treaters will be at our doors before too long, so why not be ready for them with these cute treat boxes! Although we (you and I) can’t see them, I bet they will be fun to make and fun to hand out!

  • The Spooky Treats Paper Pumpkin Kit includes an Orchid Oasis Classic Stampin’ Spot!
  • This kit’s stamp set puts the TREAT in trick-or-treat with fun, Halloween-themed sentiments and designs. Embrace the spooky season with ghost, bat, spider, and star images.

Hippest Hippos Thank You

Hi crafty friends!

Here is the last of our Hippest Hippos cards. You’ll have so much fun with this bundle in the Sale-a-bration brochure. If you order $100 of product from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and/or the July-December 2022 Holiday Catalog, the stamps and dies can be yours! There are 19 dies in the Hippos Dies Collection and they are really cute!

I used Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, and Basic White cardstock, plus some Designer Series Paper to match.

Card Base (Pale Papaya): 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches, score @ 4-1/4 inches

Layer 1 (Pale Papaya): 4 x 5-1/4 inches. Run through Stampin’ Up!s Cut & Emboss machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Tip: I spritzed the cardstock with alcohol before embossing so that the embossing would give a more pronounced pattern. I also waited till it dried before adhering it to the card base.

The Designer Series Paper is cut to 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 inches. I took a 10-inch piece of white crinkle ribbon, wrapped it around the paper and tied a bow. Then I adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the hippo image in Tuxedo Momento black ink and colored the hippo with light and dark Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party (eye), and Calypso Coral. I adhered it to the Decorative Circle punch and popped it up with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment on Pool Party cardstock and cut it out with my trimmer.

I used my Cut & Emboss Machine from Stampin’ Up! and the Hippo Dies to cut the little flowers out of Calypso Coral cardstock. After I adhered them to the card front, I used Basic Jewels Silver Rhinestones to decorate the flowers.

I used the leftover flowers to decorate the inside white cardstock layer, too.

Next week I’ll be using more Sale-a-bration goodies to inspire you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings! ~ Debbie

Cute Hippest Hippos Gatefold Card

Hello crafty friends!

Today I have another Hippest Hippos fun fold card – it’s a Gate Fold! To make a Gate Fold card, cut your card base 11 x 4-1/4 inches. In landscape position, score at 2-1/8 inches from both ends. Fold toward the center of the card, and that’s how easy this fun fold card is!

Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia are the cardstock colors I used. I seldom use purples, but they work on this card beautifully. Here are the other details for this card:

Front panels (cut 2): 5-1/4 x 1-7/8 inches, run through the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to card front.
Inside layer (Basic White): 5-1/4 x 4 inches

Cut Stitched Circle from Stylish Shapes dies: 2-1/2 inches

Stamp Hippo on Basic White with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and color hippo with Dark and Light Smoky Slate Blends. Cut out hippo, glasses, and hearts with Hippo Dies. I used Wink of Stella (love that stuff!) on the hearts, and popped up the hippo with dimensionals. Be careful when you adhere the hippo to the card front; only place glue behind the left side of the circle.

I’m having fun playing with this Hippo Bundle in the Sale-a-bration brochure. Have a blessed day!

Hippest Hippos!

Look at this cute hippo ballerina! Sweet! I earned the Hippest Hippos stamp set and Hippo Dies in the Sale-a-bration brochure. You can get this set. There are a number of dies that offer so many possibilities for “dressing” your hippos. The dancing hippo with the umbrella reminds me of Gene Kelly’s famous dance routine while crooning “I’m Singin’ in the Rain.” I added Wink of Stella to her tutu and shoes.

Card Base (Soft Suede): 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4 inches

Cardstock Strips (L to R: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade): 3/4 x 3-1/4 inches

Decorative Circle (Pale Papaya)

Inside layer(Basic White): 5-1/4 x 4 inches

I also added Loose Flower Flourishes that match the colors on the card front. Sale-a-bration is coming to an end August 31. Some items have already sold out! Act fast if you have your heart set on a particular product!

Thanks for visiting my little blog. I hope you like the card I have for you today. I would love it if you would leave a comment. Have a blessed day!

Rustic Harvest No Glue Small Treat Box

Hi crafty friends,

The fourth and final swap project for the Rustic Harvest Suite! This is a box I discovered at Sam Hammond Donald’s (aka Pootles) blog. It uses no glue! The finished box is 2 inches square and about 1/2 inch high. It’s big enough to hold a Ghiradelli chocolate square.

No Glue Tiny Treat Box:

                STAMP SET:  Hello Harvest Bundle

INKS:  Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow

PAPER:  Cajun Craze, Basic White, Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper

ACCESSORIES:  Clear Wink of Stella, Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid Glue

Technique:  Ink blending with sponge daubers on rubber stamp.

[A template with measurements for this project will be forthcoming on the next blog post.]

I used the coloring technique on the rubber stamps allowing ink colors to blend into one another. I used linen thread and made a double bow. Then I painted Wink of Stella over the leaves, leaving them shimmery. Love that! The final touch was to put an amber jewel on the top leaf for added interest.

Here is a photo of the extended and open:

I have a template for you if you would like to make one of these little boxes. The final dimensions are 2″ by 2″ by 1/2″ in height.

Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Here is a photo of the template with the Treat Box extended on it.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects. Next time I’ll be showcasing the Sale-a-bration Hippest Hippos stamp set and dies!!

Have a blessed day!

Rustic Harvest Pocket Memory Page

Hi crafty friends,

Sorry about the glitch this morning! We all have days like that, right?!

We’re on to the third swap! I love putting 6 x 6 scrapbooking pages together. They go together so fast. The downside is they only hold 1 or 2 photos. This size is easy for me to work with, and I can easily expand it to an 8 x 8 or even a 12 x 12 scrapbook page.

Here are the products I used to make this fun scrap page:

6 x 6 Memory Page with Pocket:

                STAMP SET:  Hello Harvest

INKS:  Alcohol Markers: Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Suede; Versamark ink

PAPER:  Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, Basic White

ACCESSORIES:  Cut & Emboss Machine, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, Embossing Additions Tool Kit, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

Thanks for lookin’! Have a blessed day!

Rustic Harvest Hinge Flap Card

Hi crafty friends!

Today I have the second project of the July – December 2022 Demonstrator Swap. This card template was new to me; maybe to you, too? I call it a hinge card because the small piece of cardstock that connects the front and back of the card acts like a hinge. Here’s what it looks like open.

Hello Fun Fold Hinged Opening Card:

                STAMP SETS:  Hello Harvest

INKS:  Tuxedo Black Momento, Versamark ink, Versamark Pen

PAPER:  Crushed Curry, Basic White, Merry Merlot, Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper

ACCESSORIES:  Cut & Emboss Machine, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, Leaf Label & Amber Gems Combo Pack, Linen Thread, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stripes and Splatters 3-D Embossing Folders, Heat Tool, Copper Powder, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue, Embossing Additions Tool Kit

Here’s a closeup:

Have a blessed day!

Hi crafty friends!

I hope you are well and happy, and able to get in some crafty creations! I’ve been a busy crafter. Recently, I participated in a swap with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the good ole’ USA. Swaps are so much fun! Each demo creates 3 or 4 projects, enough of each project to share with all the other demos in the swap. When I received everyone else’s swaps, it was like Christmas in a way. I was amazed at the creative projects the other demos had come up with!

My Suite was the Rustic Harvest from the July – December Mini Holiday Catalog. I made four projects that I’ll share with you over the next week.

Gorgeous Waves of Inspiration Cards

Hi crafty friends!

Recently, I was able to get together with my sister and one of her daughters, who love to stamp and make handmade cards! I brought all the products we would need to focus on the Waves of Inspiration stamp set, DSP, dies, foil papers, and jewels. We had a great time creating, talking, and inspiring one another! And we came up with some dramatic cards! See for yourself . . .

Hope you like these samples of inspiration. Have a lovely day! Go stamp something!
