If you’ve been following me, you’ll know that I love to showcase the crafting projects of my friends. I’ve received several Christmas cards that were “heavenly handmade.” I LOVE getting handmade cards in the mail. Here they are for your viewing pleasure and creative inspiration!

First up is my niece Ashley’s card:

Next up is Rose B.’s card:

Then we have Dorothea’s card:

Diane’s card is up next:

Then we have Judy’s card:

Aren’t they beautiful?! I love the creativity each card shows!

Here’s a photo I took yesterday of one of our cats (we have 2) whose favorite napping spot is under the Christmas tree 🙂 This is Ginger, our Manx cat. He’s a sweetheart and he weighs a ton!

Easy, Quick Holiday Table Favors

Hi crafty friends!

Here are some quick and easy table favors for your Christmas Dinner. This idea came from Mary Fish and a shout-out thank you to her. I love this idea. I used the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper (#155718; p. 89, Annual Catalog). The paper is perfect for small treat projects because the designs on the paper are small, too. Since the DSP paper comes in 6 x 6 size, you can get 3 little table favors from every sheet with very little left over. But you can use whatever holiday pattern paper you may have on hand.

Here are the directions:

  • Cut a 2″ x 5″ piece of Designer Series Paper.
  • Score it on the long side (landscape position) at 2″ and 3″ with your Paper Trimmer or Score Board. Use a bone folder to burnish the scored lines.
  • Use the Delightful Tag Topper punch (#149518; p. 149 Annual Catalog) to punch both ends.
  • Use Stampin’ Seal+ or a Mini Glue Dot to adhere a Lindor Truffle (or another piece of candy) between the two score lines.
  • Cut a length (6 inches) of coordinating ribbon. Bring the ends of the DSP together and run the ribbon through the holes.
  • Stamp a small, short greeting on Basic White cardstock and cut or punch it out.
  • Use a very small punch to make a hole at one end of the greeting label, string the greeting on the twine, then tie a bow around the ribbon.
  • Trim the ends of the ribbon and twine as needed.

Hope you like these. They are super easy to make! Give it a try. I’ll be making a number of them for our family Christmas Dinner.

Have a blessed day,

Debbie

Last Monday some crafty friends and I made a Mystery Card. Anyone can join since we meet on a virtual platform. I come up with a project, send the preparation directions to them, and then on the last Monday of the month, we meet to make the Mystery Card. It’s lots of fun! For November, we made a Double Gate Fold card using the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper (#156458; pg. 45 of the July-December Mini Catalog).             A second color cardstock that coordinates with Designer Series Paper:                          (cut two) 2 x 5-1/4″

Designer Series Paper:  1-3/4 x 5″

Inks to match your cardstock colors or a neutral ink color

Stamps: Your choice, depending on the type of card you want to make (larger horizontal stamps work best – up to 1-1/4″ x 4″)

Great Shoebox Swaps!

Dear crafty friends,

Recently, my Kochie Stampers Team and I had our bi-monthly meeting at my home. After lunch and a short business meeting, we did a shoebox swap. It was so much fun!! For those of you who may not know what a shoebox swap is, here you go . . .

Each demonstrator created their own card using current S.U. products. They cut and prepped the pieces of their card, enough for each of us to make their card. I thought they were super! I’m going to share them with you. Enjoy!

At our team meeting, I did a technique demonstration, called Foil Stained Glass. The directions and video is on Splitcoast Stampers. Just search for Foil Stained Glass and it should come up. Here’s what my finished card looked like:

I used my alcohol Blends to color the smaller sunflower.

An Important Announcement from Stampin’ Up!

Dear crafty friends,
Stampin’ Up! has asked us demonstrators to pass along the information below.  Let me know if you have any questions about it.
As you may have heard reported in the news, unprecedented shipping and logistics issues have resulted in a global supply chain crisis.  This is affecting businesses world-wide and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. Due to extreme difficulties caused by these issues, starting 1 December 2021, Stampin’ Up! will no longer take orders for products that are not in stock.  In other words, Stampin’ Up! will no longer accept backorders.   This change will help to reduce frustrations from unpredictable product availability and allow you to order products that will be delivered right away, rather than products that may not be delivered for months.   If you’d ever like to know if a product is available, please check my online store by clicking on the Shop button above or using this link (https://heavenlyhandmade.home.blog/shop/).  The online store is a great resource to browse products, determine availability, and place orders for in-stock items with me.  I would love to help you find the right products so you can start creating without waiting!

For customers who currently have outstanding backorders, Stampin’ Up! will fulfill those backorders as soon as products come back in stock. I hope you and your loved ones have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving! Debbie

Snowman Season Christmas Card for Candy’s Crew

Hello crafty friends!

Well, here in southwest Ohio, we’ve finally had a freeze warning last night. There is definitely a sharpness in the cooler air. What better day to share a card with a snowman on it! But I hope the snow isn’t around the corner – yet! I’m sharing the second card I made for the wonderful ladies at our local Senior Apartments complex. Snowman Season is a current stamp set, and having the Snowman Builder punch is a big plus for this card. I had a little of the matching Designer Series Paper and the Snowman Kit pieces left over from last Christmas, so I used them for the ladies’ card.

Card base (Coastal Cabana):  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches, score in landscape position @ 4-1/4 inches for a side fold card

DSP Strip:  1 x 5-1/2 inches. Adhere to card front toward the left.

White Velvet cardstock:  2 x 4-1/4 inches.  Cut lengthwise into 2 snowbanks.  Use green cap glue to adhere one snowbank to bottom of card front.

You’ll need Basic White scraps to stamp snowman in Black Momento ink and punch out with the Snowman Builder punch.  Color his nose with the Pumpkin Pie marker. Attach arms, glue hat and scarf included in the Snowman Kit.

Greeting Strip (Basic White):  5 x 3/4 inches. Stamp “Merry Christmas” in Tuxedo Black.  Use Tailored Tag punch to flag the end. Use a bone folder to curl the banner.  Use green cap glue at one end to adhere strip to card front.

Inside Layer (Basic White):  4 x 5-1/4 inches. Stamp sentiment in black ink; snowflakes in Pool Party.  Adhere to inside of card.

Decorate envelope, if desired.

I hope I’ve inspired you to start creating your own Christmas cards for friends and family. I always tuck a recent family photo in the envelope, too. If you need products, I’m happy to help you! Just click on the Shop button at the top of this post. You’ll be taken to my online store. Click on the three short lines in the upper left to be sure you are shopping with me 🙂 I appreciate every customer!

Have a blessed day! ~ Debbie
